ZModeler Features

This document will outline important features of ZModeler which will allow you to develop vehicles much more efficiently and efficiently.

Different Views

Once you have changed your view (If you have not done so, please see 'Importing Assets into ZModeler'), you may setup your layout as you please. There are multiple options which can be seen when you press on the top left button of a perspective:

  • 3D - Allows you to view your work without making any changes to assets. However, if you zoom into the asset too closely, you will no longer be able to see it.

  • Front, Left, Top, Back, Right & Bottom - All different perspectives which allows you to make edits to your vehicle.

  • User - Allows you to view your work and make changes while doing so. You can also zoom into an asset infinitely for better accuracy.

    • You MUST hold 'alt' when moving your camera. If not, you may accidently make changes to assets.

  • Perspective - We do not recommend you use often. It is similar to user however you cannot zoom in as closely.

    • You MUST hold 'alt' when moving your camera. If not, you may accidently make changes to assets.

  • UV Mapper - Used to map different textures onto objects. More on this later.

Different Modes
